Accidentally losing a device.


Santam will replace the device with the same make and model if you claim for any of the above reasons. No claims will be paid in cash.

Claims made within 60 days will have an additional R300 applied. Here's what you can claim within one calendar year.

Loss & theft does not cover:


Mechanical or electrical malfunction

Wear and tear

Reckless behaviour

Theft from an unattended vehicle with no evidence of forceful entry

  • Report the incident to Admyntec as soon as possible.

  • Make your claim within 30 days of the loss or damage with all the requested details, or your claim won't be processed.
  • Contact MTN to deactivate your SIM card and blacklist the device.

if your device is lost or stolen, report it to the South African Police Services, or any other police service if you're overseas within 48 hours to get a referene number. You'll need this and an Admyntec claim form to process your claim.
